Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at The Village Children's Programs. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 0-12 years.

About the Role
  • This is a permanent position with 35 to 40 hours of work per week.
  • The language of work is English.
Responsibilities
  1. Assess children's developmental needs and create personalized learning plans.
  2. Care for infants and toddlers by bathing, diapering, and feeding them.
  3. Develop and implement child-care programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  4. Support early childhood educators in implementing programs that foster children's growth.
  5. Lead activities such as storytelling, singing, and outings to local points of interest.
  6. Engage children through storytelling, teaching songs, and crafting.
  7. Guide children in developing good eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  8. Monitor children for signs of potential learning or behavioral issues and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  9. BUILD collaborative relationships with coworkers and community service providers.
  10. Establish and maintain a safe environment that protects children's health, security, and well-being.
  11. Plan and organize activities for school-age children in before- and after-school programs.
  12. Supervise and coordinate the activities of other early childhood educators and assistants.
Qualifications and Requirements
  1. You must be a member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
  2. You should have an Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  3. You need to hold a First Aid Certificate.
  4. You require a CPR Certificate.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
