A&W Restaurants Inc is seeking a skilled Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team.

About the Role

The Restaurant Assistant Manager will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring that all aspects of the business are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations
    • Manage the restaurant's inventory, including ordering and stock control.
    • Ensure that all food safety and health regulations are met.
    • Monitor and maintain the restaurant's cleanliness and appearance.
  • Human Resources
    • Train and develop staff members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff members.
    • Ensure that all employment regulations are met.
  • Financial
    • Manage the restaurant's finances, including cash handling and inventory control.
    • Prepare and submit financial reports to the Restaurant Manager.
    • Monitor and control costs to ensure that the restaurant is operating within budget.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all customers receive excellent service and that their needs are met.
    • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in a restaurant supervisory role.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Expertise in all restaurant positions.
  • Complete knowledge of restaurant operating systems and standards.
  • Ability to train and coach others in a hands-on approach.

Preferred Skills

  • Acceptable oral and written English communication skills.
  • Acceptable mathematical skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Additional Notes

The Restaurant Assistant Manager will be required to stand and walk for extended periods and may be required to lift heavy objects.
