Software Quality Assurance Specialist

Health Standards Organization is seeking a skilled Software Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Digital House team. As a member of this dynamic, cross-functional team, you will work closely with Software Engineers, QA Engineers, and Product Managers to build a new digital experience for our users.

About the Role:

The Software Quality Assurance Specialist will leverage their experience with Agile/Scrum to enable stable, sustainable technology operations and delivery of high-value strategic technical projects. You will exhibit exceptional testing skills, attention to detail, and a passion for customer advocacy.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the QA team, developers, and product owners to understand user scenarios and transform high-level requirements into optimized manual tests.
  • Advocate for and contribute to achieving the highest possible level of testing in support of delivering quality software.
  • Lead manual test efforts using best practices.
  • Analyze test results and submit quality defect reports.
  • Develop and execute manual test cases.
  • Take ownership of maintaining the suite of tests.
  • Find innovative solutions to any problems that may arise.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Solid background in software quality assurance, with 3+ years experience as a QA Tester.
  • Experience in building manual tests for web apps.
  • Proven ability to take user requirements and build a robust suite of manual tests.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
