Software Quality Assurance Specialist

About the Role:

The Software Quality Assurance Specialist will be a key member of our Digital House team, responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality in our software products. This includes designing and executing manual tests, collaborating with the QA team, developers, and product owners to understand user scenarios, and advocating for the highest possible level of testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the QA team, developers, and product owners to understand user scenarios and transform high-level requirements into optimized manual tests.
  • Advocate for and contribute to achieving the highest possible level of testing in support of delivering quality software.
  • Lead manual test efforts using best practices.
  • Analyze test results and submit quality defect reports.
  • Develop and execute manual test cases.
  • Take ownership of maintaining the suite of tests.
  • Find innovative solutions to any problems that may arise.
  • Use excellent communication skills to clearly explain complex technical issues to colleagues and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Solid background in software quality assurance, with 3+ years experience as a QA Tester.
  • Experience in building manual tests for web apps.
  • Proven ability to take user requirements and build a robust suite of manual tests.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in writing high-quality maintainable tests.
  • Experience working on Software and/or IT project(s) in a team environment.
  • Experience working within the Azure DevOps environment.
  • Experience in using a test case repository and defect management tool.
  • Experience building a testing environment, knowledge of virtualization, cloud, and container technologies.
