Job Summary

Halton Healthcare is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to provide assessment, treatment, and consultation services for dysphagia and communication disorders to a mixed adult population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with dysphagia and communication disorders.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Utilize swallowing assessment skills, including video fluoroscopic studies, to diagnose and treat patients with dysphagia.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based research to provide high-quality care and services.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology and registration with the College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Ontario.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and adapt to changing demands.
  • 1-2 years of experience in assessment and treatment of dysphagia.
  • Satisfactory employment and attendance record.
