About the Role:This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of approximately $93,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN) degree or equivalent, current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses, and valid certifications in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and First Aid/CPR.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care plans.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless transitions and continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident care, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Ensure timely and safe transfers and discharges of residents, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- Manage medications, supplies, and equipment effectively, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff.
- Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent degree.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
- Valid Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Familiarity with Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, and other relevant legislation.
- Medical Clearance, Vulnerable Sector Police Check, and Clear Criminal Record check required.
