Foot Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate nurse to provide specialized foot care services to residents in Long Term Care facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in nursing, particularly in medical foot care, and a strong commitment to patient education and comfort. You will collaborate with a supportive, multidisciplinary clinic team to ensure each patient receives the best possible care tailored to their individual needs.
Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive foot assessments for clients with various health conditions and foot-related concerns
- Provide medical foot care services such as general foot care, nail trimming and filing, diabetic foot care, non-surgical ingrown toenail removal, thick nail reduction, corn removal and callus reduction
- Educate patients and their families on proper foot hygiene and best routine care practices
- Develop personalized patient care plans in collaboration with the clinic team
- Monitor and document changes in clients' foot health by electronic charting on Point Click Care (PCC)
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to infection control protocols
- Conduct treatments in residents' rooms to ensure privacy
**Requirements**
- Advanced and Diabetic Foot Care Certification required
- Prior experience in foot care is an asset
- Valid G driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Ability to effectively manage time and priorities
- Computer knowledge and ability to learn proprietary software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word preferred
