Job Description

The Hotel Night Auditor is responsible for managing the hotel's front desk operations during evening hours. This includes registering arriving guests, assigning rooms, processing group arrivals and departures, taking, canceling, and changing room reservations, providing information on hotel facilities and services, and exchanging foreign currency.

Responsibilities
  • Register arriving guests and assign rooms
  • Process group arrivals and departures
  • Take, cancel, and change room reservations
  • Provide information on hotel facilities and services
  • Exchange foreign currency
  • Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms
  • Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments
  • Follow emergency and safety procedures
  • Clerical duties (i.e., faxing, filing, photocopying)
  • Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs
  • Contact customers to deliver requested wakeup calls
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. You should have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and at least some experience in a related field. Proficiency in computerized bookkeeping systems and multi-line switchboard systems is highly desirable.
