Under the guidance of the Regional Director, the key responsibilities of the Pest Control Operations Leader include:

  1. Directing the day-to-day activities of Operations Managers
  2. Growing provincial accounts through effective management strategies
  3. Fostering strong relationships with key clients to drive business growth
  4. Collaborating with the Regional Director to enhance revenue, employee retention, and customer satisfaction
  5. Responding to new customer sales inquiries and managing existing customer service requests
  6. Providing support for Operations Managers in managing employee or customer issues
  7. Maintaining knowledge of technical data related to pesticides used and their application according to label instructions
  8. Staying up-to-date on industry trends and providing expert advice to team members
  9. Implementing company programs, initiatives, and operational guidelines
  10. Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures while creating an environment that motivates employees to excel
  11. Overseeing inventory control, including ordering, truck audits, warehouse inventory counts, and other tasks

The ideal candidate should possess:

  1. At least 5 years of experience in the pest control industry, or equivalent education and training
  2. Proven track record of managing teams in fast-paced environments
  3. Strong business acumen and leadership skills
  4. Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  5. Proficiency in written and verbal communication
  6. Able to provide clear and concise feedback, performance management, and coaching
  7. Attention to detail and analytical skills
  8. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google applications at an intermediate level
  9. Valid driver's license and valid pest control license (or willingness to obtain)
  10. High school diploma; university degree preferred
  11. Licenses/certificates as required by federal and provincial regulations
  12. Able to interact sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally with all individuals
  13. Ability to work at heights and lift objects exceeding 50 pounds

Rentokil-Terminix offers a competitive salary of approximately $95,000 - $115,000 per annum, paid bi-weekly, along with various incentives based on performance and exceptional customer service. Employees are compensated during training, and any necessary certifications are covered by the company. Benefits include a company vehicle, phone, uniforms, steel toes, RRSP matching program, and paid sick/vacation days. On-demand pay allows access to earned paycheques at any time.
