Job Title: Software Quality Assurance Manager

About the Role:

The Lead Quality Engineer is a key member of the team at Disability Solutions responsible for supporting the planning, design, and execution of all software testing activities within the organization. This role involves working collaboratively with IT departments and other business units to formulate, present, and execute on a thorough testing methodology strategy that ensures the software is thoroughly tested according to defined guidelines and released with the highest quality possible.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Main Activities:
  • Develop Testing Strategy: Formulate a testing methodology strategy document from scratch, addressing standards, objectives, best practices, code coverage, and security and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop Testing Framework: Define the tools, technologies, standards, and framework needed to execute the testing strategy.
  • Lead Automatic Testing: Review business requirements, create project-specific testing plans, define testing methods, perform various types of testing, including automated or manual testing.
  • Collaborate with Development Teams: Integrate automated tests into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
  • Monitor and Analyze Test Results: Identify defects and areas for improvement.
  • Defect Management: Manage the defect lifecycle, including identification, logging, tracking, prioritization, resolution, and progress reporting.


Requirements:
  • Knowledge/Skill Requirements:
  • University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree or business-related experience.
  • 7-10 years of experience in automatic testing development, including developing a testing strategy, per-project testing plan, defining testing infrastructure, technologies, and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Java, APIs, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Experience writing SQL statements and database testing skills.
  • Good understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum software development process.


Salary: Estimated $110,000 - $140,000 per annum based on industry standards and location considerations.
