About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Lead to oversee and coordinate various logistics operations within our organization. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, strong communication abilities, and a proven track record of ensuring timely receipt and shipment of materials.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of Logistics Operators, ensuring seamless execution of tasks and projects.
  • Provide direction and guidance to Logistics Operators, while acting as a backup to Logistics Supervisors as needed.
  • Coordinate the timely receipt, storage, and issue of raw materials to manufacturing and the loading and dispatch of finished products.
  • Accurately record PO receipts and outbound shipment details in the company's ERP and Warehouse Management System (SAP).
  • Liaise with transport service providers to ensure 'on-time' deliveries of raw materials and outbound shipments to customers.
  • Complete relevant transport documentation and daily activity reports.
  • Safely operate Materials Handling Equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Grade 12 (OSSGD) required.
  • Previous Forklift Truck driving experience is required.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who hold a post-secondary education.
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and oral.
  • Must be competent with numbers and able to demonstrate high PC literacy.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
