About the Role:

The Event Crew plays a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences on our City Cruises operation in Toronto. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch hospitality to our guests, ensuring their needs are met, and creating lasting memories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding to their needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with food and beverage service, including polishing plates, cutlery, and glasses, and preparing condiments and bread.
  • Bus used and unneeded dishes and glassware from guests' tables to the kitchen.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of all common areas and service stations, including the dining room, washrooms, and serveries.
  • Set up and break down dining room/event room, and service stations as prescribed, requiring movement of dining cabin furniture.
  • Assist with food plating and buffet service when required.
  • Provide information to guests, including menu descriptions, order of service, entertainment options, cruise route, and points of interest.
  • Be prepared to begin work at scheduled time and maintain uniform and personal grooming in compliance with appearance standards.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent as recognized by the Ministry of Education.
  • Minimum one (1) year of customer service experience.
  • Previous restaurant experience preferred.
  • Smart Serve Certification Required.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic personality essential.
  • Ability to effectively understand and convey written and verbal information to guests and coworkers.
  • Ability to lift furniture and other heavy items, such as bus tubs, up and down stairs.
