Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you'll be responsible for safely and efficiently operating heavy equipment to unload and load ferrous materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain heavy equipment to minimize traffic congestion and ensure a smooth flow of materials.
  • Collaborate with scale operators and office staff to unload customers and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Perform light mechanical repairs and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Load and unload various ferrous and non-ferrous metals while observing all company safety rules and policies.
  • Report any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-3 years of recent experience in an operator position.
  • Ability to work in various temperatures and meet the physical demands of the position.
  • Willingness to work in variable weather conditions and overtime as needed.
