About the Job

This is a full-time permanent position reporting to the Professional Practice Leader (PPL). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the direction, supervision, and coordination of the Health Information Processing section. Your expertise will serve as a valuable resource to staff and students working in the section, ensuring high-quality results within allocated resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the section, ensuring efficient use of resources by performing duties such as supervising staff, developing policies and procedures, scheduling work assignments, and determining training requirements.
  • Monitor staffing levels and workload patterns, ensuring adequate staffing levels are maintained by preparing staff schedules and rotations, approving vacation requests, and mentoring staff.
  • Act as a technical/clinical resource to staff in the section, responding to queries, recommending best practices, and ensuring compliance with established clinical standards.
  • Provide budgetary input to the PPL, monitor operating expenditures, and demonstrate fiscal accountability.
  • Ensure routine maintenance programs are carried out on departmental equipment, maintain inventory control, and participate in safety programs.
