About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Supervisor to join our team at Olds Oasis Organic Inc. as an Agricultural Operations Manager. This is a permanent position that requires a strong background in agricultural operations and a passion for delivering high-quality crop production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Divide and Prepare Produce: Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots, ensuring optimal quality and presentation.
  • Guide Crop Development: Guide growing shoots into optimal development positions, utilizing expertise in crop management and growth techniques.
  • Harvest and Process Crops: Harvest seedlings, seed cutting, and other crops, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • Implement Farm Safety and Bio-Security: Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
  • Provide Agricultural Services: Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, or harvesting, as required.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Maintain Quality Control and Production Records: Maintain accurate and detailed records of crop production, quality control, and farm operations.
  • Staff Management: Hire and train staff, ensuring a skilled and motivated team is in place to support farm operations.
  • General Farm Duties: Perform general farm duties, including cutting horticultural crops, as required.

  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high expectations.
  • Physical Demands: The role requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with a high level of physical activity.
