Job Summary

We are seeking a Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering orders and picking up products in a safe and responsible manner. You will also act as a backup in the warehouse as a material handler.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a 26-foot truck in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Deliver products to our clients/customers and provide superior customer service.
  • Collect products for returns according to instructions and provide the customer a credit note.
  • Conduct pre and post vehicle inspection.
  • Complete the administration and paperwork.
  • Record order discrepancies and inform the Dispatch Office for resolution (adjustment transactions).
  • Work in the Warehouse as needed.

Requirements

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident.
  • Candidate must be able to provide birth certificate and passport as identification.
  • Candidate must have a valid Ontario driver's license and be able to provide utility bills showing current address.
  • Candidate must be able to pass RCMP fingerprint background check.
  • Candidate must have good command over the English language.
  • One (1) year or more Commercial driving experience required.
  • With Clear Driver Abstract.
  • Valid G License required (DZ license an asset).
  • Ability to drive a delivery van in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Safety as first priority.
  • Capacity to drive in all weather conditions and temperature changing environment.
  • Must be able to frequently lift/carry 35 lbs for 8 to 10 hours daily.
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
  • Demonstrates customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
  • Highly thorough and dependable.
  • Must have professional appearance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
