Relief Indigenous Education Worker
The School District No. 57 (Prince George) is seeking a qualified Relief Indigenous Education Worker to join our team. As a key member of our educational community, this role plays a vital part in supporting the learning and growth of Indigenous students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to develop and implement culturally responsive educational programs and activities.
- Provide academic and social support to Indigenous students, promoting their academic success and well-being.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with Indigenous families and communities, fostering a sense of belonging and connection to the school community.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in Indigenous education and cultural competency.
Requirements:
- Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of Indigenous cultures, histories, and perspectives.
- Experience working with Indigenous students and communities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
