Role Overview

As a Tax Specialist at KPMG in Canada, you will be part of a diverse and dedicated team of problem solvers who turn insight into opportunity for clients and communities worldwide. This role involves servicing the planning and compliance needs of our clients, providing opportunities to participate in a broad range of tax-related work requiring qualitative and quantitative analysis and assessment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analysis of various tax issues
  • Prepare corporate, partnership, trust, and personal tax returns
  • Develop draft technical memos, instruction letters, and client reporting letters
  • Prepare income tax models and review corporate and personal tax returns
  • Review tax provisions for audit and non-audit clients
  • Interact with clients and team members, and assist senior staff in projects

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a public accounting firm
  • Successful completion of the CFE and CPA designation
  • Enrollment in the In-Depth tax course or willingness to enroll
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and team building skills
  • Strong time-management abilities and self-motivation
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and learn new skills
  • Excellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand clients' businesses
