Job Title: Restaurant Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at Ontario Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and implement effective work schedules to ensure seamless service delivery and optimal staff utilization.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food preparation and service staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements to ensure efficient meal preparation and minimize waste.
  • Hire and manage food service staff, ensuring that they meet our high standards of quality and customer service.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare budgets and cost estimates to optimize resource allocation and minimize costs.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
  • Prepare food order summaries for the chef to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Supervise and check the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring strong organizational and time management skills. The role involves a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods, as well as bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role in the food service industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage staff and interact with customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Ability to estimate ingredient and supply requirements to ensure efficient meal preparation and minimize waste.
