Schedule Coordinator, Steelmaking Business Unit

We are seeking a highly skilled Schedule Coordinator to join our Steelmaking Business Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment utilization and minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize Quintiq, CMMS, and Microsoft Project tools to load, level, and commit maintenance work to a schedule date for defined areas of responsibility.
- Provide PDF schedules for all execution groups by trade using MS Project/MS Excel.
- Schedule for larger complex shutdown events and/or complex daily schedules, requiring multiple interactions with stakeholders, machines, and materials.
- Coordinate scope and schedule for complex schedules during execution, tracking and showing status against baseline, and running schedule update meetings as needed.
- Facilitate detailed job timelines and job risk assessments when required.
- Maintain high competency in scheduling methodologies and understanding of asset or multi-shop area equipment, operational, and resource interdependencies.
- Minimum High School Diploma/GED required.
- Strong interpersonal management and communication skills to work effectively with people in various roles.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate personal computer and corporate standard software skills.
- Advanced scheduling software and practices skills.
- Experience using MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Project or equivalent.
- Knowledge of process equipment setup requirements, typical equipment inspections, and change outs.
- Knowledge of workforce, maintenance planning, and scheduling techniques.
- Knowledge of project management methods, including logic work breakdown schedule, Gantt diagramming techniques, and resource utilization.
- Understanding of workforce resources, asset and equipment, and legal requirements around hours of work.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and maintenance activities.
