Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Oncologist to join our team at BC Cancer – Surrey. As a General Practitioner in Oncology, you will play a vital role in the care of patients with cancer.

About the Role

This part-time position involves working collaboratively with Radiation Oncologists and other medical specialists in an interdisciplinary environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the ambulatory care of patients on therapy and in follow-up.

The current posting is for -- FTE depending on negotiated responsibilities. Work mainly involves outpatient care in ambulatory clinics, with scheduled 3 -- 4 half-day clinics for a FTE, allowing time to deal with office work and emails. Clinic appointments are currently scheduled 9:00am – 4:00pm.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Family Medicine or equivalent experience.
  • Licensed to practice as a family physician in British Columbia.
  • Member of the medical staff of the BC Cancer Agency and Surrey Memorial Hospital.
  • Suitable for appointment to the University of British Columbia.
