Senior Utilities Sector Leader

We are seeking an experienced Senior Utilities Sector Leader to lead our Smart Grid solutions team in Canada. This role will be responsible for driving business growth and developing strategies to expand our market presence in the utilities sector.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in utilities industry leadership, with experience in managing large-scale consulting projects and leading teams of professionals. They will be responsible for influencing strategy, developing client business development and sales strategies, and working with Capgemini Business Lines to create joint ownership and execution plans.
Key Responsibilities- Influence strategy for growing existing base of Smart Meter and Smart Grid related consulting and implementation project work in Utilities, including key offerings development and relation to client specific account plans/activities
- Develop and execute client business development and sales strategies/account plans/activities in meeting sales targets
- Work with Capgemini Business Lines to create joint ownership, targets, and execution plans when projects have multiple business lines participating (e.g. Capgemini Engineering, Insights and Data, Invent, etc.)
- Sell and deliver Smart Grid and Utilities transformation consulting projects
- Support marketing activities, e.g. publications
- Foster careers for team members in sales and delivery
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong Utilities industry and Smart Meter/Grid domain experience AMI, ADMS, DERMs, Asset Management, and/or GIS
- Strong Account Growth and Sales experience
- Experience working with leading Smart Meter and Grid vendors such as Itron, L&G, Sensus, Honeywell, Schneider Electric, Siemens Energy, ABB, ESRI, etc
- Experience leading Smart Grid and utilities strategy, consulting and/or implementation engagements
- Entrepreneurial mindset with ambition to grow the business
- Experience developing and leading capability assessments, business cases, use cases, transformation program roadmaps
- Experience developing rate case filings and presenting to regulators
- Understanding of industry business trends and current challenges
