Global Event Director

Lead the Way in Global Event Production. As a Global Event Director at Manulife Insurance Malaysia, you will be responsible for creating high-impact and high-profile events that raise our brand identity, increase engagement, and drive business impact. With a proven ability to deliver exceptional work, you will orchestrate ideas, resources, and people to bring critical production planning and operational plans to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute event strategies that align with business objectives and priorities.
  • Lead event production planning, on-site operations, show calling, and live event operations for global events.
  • Collaborate with Brand colleagues to ensure appropriate branding is represented at all events.
  • Manage project teams to ensure scheduling, operational, and production timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Source and manage partnerships with external vendors to ensure services are delivered in line with the statement of work and budget.
  • Manage and reconcile program budgets.

Requirements:

  • University education, plus a minimum of ten years of relevant experience in event production with a strong portfolio of delivered work in live events.
  • Advanced expertise in event environments, producing exceptional experiences for hybrid, virtual, and in-person corporate audiences.
  • Experience managing global corporate events, either from a corporate or agency perspective.
  • High emotional intelligence, adaptability to change, and the ability to stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong program management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated capability to write detailed event creative proposals independently.
  • Comfortable working with C-level executives and managing unforeseen circumstances and stressful situations during events.
  • Exhibit initiative as a self-starter, highly motivated, and striving for continual improvement in both personal skills and production quality.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build effective partnerships and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
