Job Title: Chinese Language Educator

Job Summary:

Mon Sheong Foundation is seeking a qualified Chinese Language Educator to join our team at our Chinese School campuses. As a Chinese Language Educator, you will be responsible for teaching Chinese language and culture to students of various age groups and skill levels.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Teach Chinese language and culture to students in a classroom setting, using a variety of teaching methods and materials.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of students and align with the curriculum.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and implement school-wide programs and events.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians through regular progress reports and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Teaching certification or equivalent.
  • Native or near-native fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
  • First Aid and CPR certification an asset.

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours from September to June.
  • Classes held on Wednesday, Friday evenings and/or Saturday mornings.

Language Requirements:

  • Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese language proficiency.
  • English language proficiency.
