We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Unit 21, a 36-bed Surgical Orthopedic/Urology unit. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver family-centered care.
About the Role:
As an LPN on our team, you will be responsible for:
- Providing direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring patient conditions
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program
- Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA)
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
