Your Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a key member of our interprofessional healthcare team, you will utilize your nursing processes, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to provide high-quality patient and family-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to high-risk infants in a level 2B NICU, utilizing the nursing process and critical thinking skills.
- Involve and advocate for families in all matters of care, promoting a disciplined and family-centered care environment.
- Independently and effectively make decisions, adapt to changing situations, and prioritize tasks to ensure safe and quality care.
- Build commitment and trust with clients and co-workers, promoting a positive and respectful work environment.
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Recent Level 2 NICU experience.
