Lead a Premier Retirement Community

Join VIVA Retirement Communities as a Community Director and take on the challenge of leading a dynamic team in a premier retirement community. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the overall management of the community, including the supervision of six department managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the community, providing leadership and guidance to department managers and ensuring high team morale.
  • Align the community with VIVA's vision and values, promoting a positive and innovative environment.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions to meet budget objectives.
  • Identify and resolve issues in community operations, ensuring a safe and enjoyable living environment for residents.
  • Liaise with the VP of Marketing to develop and implement marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • Work closely with Home Office to develop sales strategies and ensure their implementation.
  • Build strong ties between residents, their families, and the local community through various initiatives.
  • Monitor Team Member performance and provide coaching, training, and progressive performance management as needed.
  • Ensure effective orientation of new Team Members and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior leadership role within the assisted living or retirement living industry.
  • Graduate of a post-secondary institution in a relevant field.
  • Practical knowledge of human resources, financial management, project management, and facility operations.
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, and job-related software programs.
  • Ability to work in a busy environment, manage stress, and manage the stress of others.
