About the Role

We are seeking a world-class procurement leader to join our team and develop a procurement function in a growing organization. As a procurement architect, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, vendors, customers, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a Company-Wide Procurement Program: Create and implement a comprehensive procurement program, including purchasing, contracts, negotiations, and vendor selection processes.
  • Conduct Capital Spend Analysis: Analyze capital spend, identify strategic sourcing opportunities, and execute corresponding RFx's and supplier negotiations.
  • Categorize Spend and Measure Performance: Categorize spend, measure against quality, service, risk, and cost, and perform supplier performance and SLA measurement.
  • Build and Implement Frameworks for Procurement: Develop and implement frameworks for procurement, including vendor evaluation, engagement, and RFP ownership.
  • Establish Cross-Functional Internal Procurement Organization: Develop internal partnerships with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Technology, Marketing, Risk, Business Development, Legal, and Compliance.
  • Implement Enterprise Systems and Reporting Standards: Implement and leverage existing/upcoming enterprise systems to establish automated procurement requests, invoicing, and payment processes, and establish enterprise reporting standards on procurement volume by unit, spend, and category/types.
  • Evaluate and Improve Procurement Processes: Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes, procedures, and governance to ensure cost savings and efficiency.
  • Build a Team of Procurement Experts: Develop and lead a team of procurement experts to handle and execute all company purchasing decisions.
About You

You are a seasoned procurement professional with a strong background in procurement leadership, business acumen, and strategic planning. You possess excellent analytical skills, with the ability to visualize, articulate, and solve complex problems and concepts. You are a strength-based, engagement-focused, and performance-oriented leader who can build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field; Master's degree preferred
  • Certification from a recognized association focused on procurement
  • 15+ years' experience in procurement, with at least 5 years leading a team
