Job Details Description

Propak is seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer Lead to join our team. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of gas processing and heavy oil projects for domestic and international clients.

  1. Develop and lead process engineering projects from concept to completion, including FEED studies, modular packages, and full turnkey EPFC projects.
  2. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and develop process systems, including natural gas and heavy oil processing.
  3. Lead and mentor junior engineers, including supervision, checking, and authentication of professional work products.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, including communication of project progress and results.
  5. Travel domestically and internationally for startup and commissioning support.
  6. Participate in the development and implementation of process engineering standards and procedures.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from an accredited university.
  2. Professional Engineer registered and in good standing with Alberta Professional Engineers, and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) or eligible for membership.
  3. 5+ years of experience in natural gas processing experience with specific experience in fractional distillation, gas sweetening, dehydration, hydrocarbon dewpoint control, and/or LPG and NGL recovery.
  4. Experience designing alternative processes in Glycol Dehydration, Sweetening, Mechanical Refrigeration, Oil Processing, SAGD, Compression is considered an asset.
  5. EPC and/or Fabricator experience.
  6. Excellent communications skills required to interact with clients and internal team members.
  7. Experience working with HYSYS and other engineering software (BR&E ProMax, VMGSim Symmetry, Flarenet).
  8. Experience in sizing process equipment is an asset (separators, towers, heat exchangers, PSVs, flare systems, control valves, pumps, reciprocating, rotary screw, and centrifugal compressors).
  9. Experience with typical process deliverables (PFD, HMB, P&ID, Line List, Design Basis Memorandum, Cause & Effect Diagrams, Control Narratives, Datasheets).
