Job Summary

Propak is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Engineer Lead to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring junior engineers, overseeing project execution, and developing and implementing process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project execution.
  • Develop and implement process improvements, increasing efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Oversee project execution, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Professional Engineer registered and in good standing with Alberta Professional Engineers, and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) or eligible for membership.
  • 5+ years of experience in natural gas processing, with specific experience in fractional distillation, gas sweetening, dehydration, hydrocarbon dewpoint control, and/or LPG and NGL recovery.
  • Experience designing alternative processes in Glycol Dehydration, Sweetening, Mechanical Refrigeration, Oil Processing, SAGD, Compression is considered an asset.
  • EPC and/or Fabricator experience.
  • Excellent communication skills required to interact with clients and internal team members.
  • Experience working with HYSYS and other engineering software (BR&E ProMax, VMGSim Symmetry, Flarenet).
  • Experience in sizing process equipment is an asset (separators, towers, heat exchangers, PSVs, flare systems, control valves, pumps, reciprocating, rotary screw, and centrifugal compressors).
  • Experience with typical process deliverables (PFD, HMB, P&ID, Line List, Design Basis Memorandum, Cause & Effect Diagrams, Control Narratives, Datasheets).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in project management, with a focus on process engineering.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, such as API, ASME, and OSHA.
