Transformative Chief Engineer Opportunity

We're seeking a visionary Chief Engineer to spearhead our multi-year transformation program, driving innovation and excellence in software development. As a key member of our Technology Division, you'll lead the design and engineering of cutting-edge platforms, guiding teams to build world-class applications.

About the Role
  • Lead the overall design and engineering for a platform, ensuring technical deliveries align with engineering direction and strategy.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Define engineering standards, uplift engineering performance, and decide on frameworks.
  • Take technical ownership of key assets, including roadmaps and technical direction.
  • Have a broad technology background with engineering as a core competency and demonstrated experience building enterprise software.
  • Encourage risk-taking and constructively challenge the status quo, influencing stakeholders and building diverse and inclusive teams.
Requirements
  • Solid experience working with large-scale distributed systems and operating in a multi-platform environment.
  • Expertise with automation and designing software architecture in the banking domain.
  • Frontend: React or Angular.
  • Database: SQL and NoSQL experience.
  • Microservices design and implementation of highly scalable APIs.
  • Scripting/programming languages (JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, Python).
  • Code quality control through peer programming, code review, and automated pipeline management.
