Project Scheduler Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Scheduler to join our team at Northern Employment Solutions Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and managing project baselines, monitoring and reporting project performance, and ensuring that all project deliverables are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, including creating and updating project timelines, Gantt charts, and resource allocation plans.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate potential schedule risks and develop contingency plans.
  • Monitor and report project progress, including tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all project deliverables are met, including scope, cost, and schedule.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, including tracking expenses and ensuring that all project costs are accurately accounted for.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and implement process improvements, including developing and implementing new project management tools and techniques.
  • Provide training and support to project teams on project management best practices and tools.
Requirements:
  • 10 years of experience in project scheduling, preferably in the mining industry.
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking with strong numerical ability, good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.).
  • Experience with SAP and Primavera 6.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, finance, or a combination of work and education.
