We are a leading retail business seeking an experienced retail store supervisor to oversee our urban area location.
Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year
Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled retail store team lead to manage the day-to-day operations of our retail store in an urban setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing sales teams and ensuring excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign tasks to sales workers and ensure they meet performance targets
- Hire, train, and develop staff members to improve their skills and productivity
- Order merchandise and maintain inventory levels to meet customer demand
- Authorize returns and resolve any issues that may arise
- Establish work schedules and supervise staff to ensure smooth store operations
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform management decisions
- Resolve customer complaints and supply shortages in a timely and professional manner
- Organize and maintain inventory to ensure accurate stock levels
- Supervise and coordinate activities of sales staff to achieve business objectives
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail environment
Work Setting:
- Urban area with a fast-paced environment
- Retail business with a focus on customer service
- On-site customer service required
Personal Suitability:
- Efficient interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with staff and customers
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
- Organized and reliable individual with strong time management skills
Working Conditions:
