Animal Care Attendant

About the Role:
The BC SPCA is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Care Attendant to join our team. As an Animal Care Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of the animals in our care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality animal care, including feeding, cleaning, and providing fresh water to animals in our shelter.
- Assist with animal intake, including receiving and processing animals for surrender.
- Support adoption procedures, including preparing animals for adoption and assisting with adoptions.
- Collaborate with other shelter staff to maintain a clean and safe environment for animals and visitors.
- Provide excellent customer service to the public, including answering questions and providing information about our shelter and services.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class N or 5 BC Drivers' License and driver's abstract.
- Demonstrable interest in animal welfare and a passion for providing excellent care to animals.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
