Job Opportunity: French Teacher - Grades 4-7

We are seeking a qualified French teacher to join our team at St. Joseph Catholic Elementary School in Kelowna, BC. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching French to students in Grades 4-7.

About the Role:

This is a part-time (up to 0.50 FTE) position, effective August 26, 2024. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to Catholic education and a passion for teaching French to elementary school students.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach French to students in Grades 4-7
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote a positive and inclusive school culture

Requirements:

  • BC Teacher's Certificate (or confirmation of application for certification)
  • TQS
  • Post Secondary Transcripts
  • Recent Evaluation/Practicum report from employer/practicum supervisor
  • CISND Pastoral Reference form
  • Certificate of Catholic baptism or RCIA Certificate (for Catholic applicants)
  • Certificate of Catholic marriage, if applicable (for Catholic applicants)
