Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Math Instructor to join our team at Mathnasium of Langley. As a Math Instructor, you will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging math lessons to students, establishing a positive and supportive learning environment, and evaluating student progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Instruction: Develop and deliver math lessons to students, using a variety of teaching methods and materials to engage and motivate learners.
  • Student Support: Establish a positive and supportive learning environment, providing individualized support and guidance to students as needed.
  • Progress Evaluation: Evaluate student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and making recommendations for further support or enrichment.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns or questions.
Requirements
  • Mathematical Knowledge: Possess a thorough knowledge of math up to and including pre-calculus, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Teaching Experience: Have experience teaching or tutoring math to students, with a proven track record of success in engaging and motivating learners.
  • Passion for Teaching: Demonstrate a genuine passion for teaching math to children, with a commitment to making learning fun and accessible.
  • Availability: Be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, with a minimum of 3-7 p.m. availability.
