**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cree Mental Health Service Coordinator to join our team at the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB).

About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and determining the degree of urgency of requests for psychotherapy and intensive psychotherapy services made by professional healthcare and psychosocial collaborators.
  • They will also contact referral sources and clients for further information, complete required intake information, and maintain an updated schedule of available mental health service providers.
  • In addition, they will schedule and match client needs with available mental health service providers, collaborate with Wiichihiituwin/Cree Patient Services to provide lodging for clients, and prepare annual statistics detailing client services and completed service requests.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, as well as strong organizational and decision-making skills.
  • They must be able to work independently and collaboratively with a wide variety of professional, clinical, and non-clinical team members and colleagues.
  • A good working knowledge of computer applications is essential, and fluency in English is required. Fluency in French and/or Cree is an asset.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human sciences or social sciences, such as criminology, social work, or psychology.
  • Two years of pertinent experience in a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:* $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
