About the Team

You will be part of a team of National Bank colleagues, reporting to the Head of Trading. This highly technical individual will have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience and immediately add value by working directly with developers and traders, focused on adapting technology to help manage trading portfolios and develop new business opportunities.

Requirements
  • Successfully completed a bachelor's or master's degree in software engineering, computer science, data sciences, mathematics, or a relevant field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant development experience with highly technical requirements would be a strong asset.
  • Exceptional numerical, analytical, and investigative aptitude.
  • Experience with Python, including Pandas and Numpy, is required. Python visualizations such as plotly/Matplotlib would be beneficial.
  • Database architecture and previous experience in SQL is required, with a preference for Postgresql or MySQL.
  • JavaScript, C++, Windows Batch Scripting, and other programming languages would also be beneficial.
  • Experience with large data sets, data analysis, including data mining, statistical analysis, and ML would be desired.
  • Knowledge of economics/finance, including financial derivatives products such as futures, swaps, options, and exotics, in addition to the corresponding risk metrics, would also be desired.
