Job Title: Senior Environmental Remediation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Remediation Specialist to join our team at 360 Engineering & Environmental.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental project management, with a focus on site assessments, remediation, and reclamation within the oil, gas, and energy sectors. They will be responsible for leading the development, strategic planning, and execution of remediation and reclamation projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Phase 2/Stage 2 ESAs, Detailed Site Assessments, and Remediation and Reclamation applications.
  • Coordinate with regulatory bodies, including the BCER, Ministry of Environment, and federal agencies, to ensure compliance and achieve environmental closure.
  • Engage with diverse stakeholders, including Indigenous partners, municipal representatives, and energy producers, to align project goals and address community concerns.
  • Analyze and interpret collected field data and write comprehensive technical reports.
  • Oversee budget tracking and manage contractor relationships to ensure project milestones and financial objectives are met.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in Agrology, Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Forestry, Land Reclamation, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in environmental project management, with a focus on site assessments, remediation, and reclamation within the oil, gas, or energy sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental site assessments (Phase 1 and Phase 2 ESA) and regulatory compliance, particularly with the BCER, Ministry of Environment, and federal permitting requirements.
  • Strong understanding of contamination assessments, exposure control plans, sub-soil salinity tool application, and site-specific liability assessments.
  • Possess current qualifications and experience in senior-level report review and sign-off.
  • Familiarity with environmental remediation, reclamation, and restoration techniques, especially on contaminated sites and spill-impacted areas.
