Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our dynamic team at the Pacific Spirit Community Health Centre in Vancouver, BC. As a Physiotherapist - Pediatric Care Specialist, you will work with children and youth with physical, neurological, and developmental challenges, providing physiotherapy services and coordinating care plans with interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and provide interventions for children living with complex health issues
  • Collaborate with families, care providers, and healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and trauma-informed approaches
  • Provide education and support to families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals on physiotherapy techniques and strategies
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans and treatment strategies

Requirements

  • Current full registration with the College of Physical Therapists of BC (CPTBC)
  • Two (2) years' recent related clinical experience with the designated client population, including care management experience
  • Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric physiotherapy, including assessment and treatment techniques, and evidence-based practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals
