Highly Skilled Infusion Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Practical Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as an Infusion Nurse in a home and clinic setting.
This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work autonomously with little supervision, while also being part of a larger team. The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Responsibilities- Administer medications (IM, SC, and IV as applicable) in a home or specialty clinic setting.
- Support/monitor administration of IV infusion treatments in the clinic and/or homecare setting.
- Monitor post-injection/infusion treatments, chart, and report on all activities as directed by program protocols and standards of professional nursing documentation.
- Provide patient education based on program protocols, individually or in groups.
- Report adverse events, serious adverse events, product complaints in accordance with Innomar training and policies & procedures.
- Coordinate daily with patients, case managers, physicians, scheduling, and other departments to meet established timelines for scheduling appointments, treatments, and communication of information.
- Perform administrative duties such as monthly clinic audits, supply ordering, and other duties as assigned.
- Participate regularly in team web-based meetings/training sessions with the Business Area Manager, RNE, and Nurse Champion to maintain and enhance professional practice standards.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Practical Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Experience with IV therapy is an asset.
- Diploma/University degree in nursing or related field.
- Current registration with provincial licensing body; CPR certificate.
- Experience in acute care inpatient/outpatient or homecare setting.
- ACLS, PALs, MS, and CVAA Certification, and central venous lines/port experience are considered assets.
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills in dealing with patients, physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Able to work autonomously with little supervision as part of a larger team.
- Able to travel to clinics and homecare appointments within a set geographical boundary.
The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
