About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering and Survey Technician to join our team at the Government of Nova Scotia. As a key member of our Public Works department, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and construction of various infrastructure projects throughout the province.

Primary Accountabilities
  • Assist with contract administration and supervision of a crew.
  • Collect, compile, and present data collected during field work.
  • Determine quantities of materials for use on projects.
  • Assist supervisors and managers with project planning, designs, permitting, and oversight.
  • Conduct field surveys to confirm property, highway, and project boundaries.
  • Assist in supervising staff and contractors on construction sites.
Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a strong background in surveying and engineering. You should have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable motor vehicle, as frequent travel throughout the province is required. Experience with current AutoCAD software packages and spreadsheet software is also essential.
