About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering and Survey Technician to join our team at the Government of Nova Scotia. As a key member of our Public Works department, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and construction of various projects throughout the province.

Primary Accountabilities
  • Assist with contract administration and supervision of a crew.
  • Collect, compile, and present data collected during field work.
  • Determine quantities of materials for use on projects.
  • Assist supervisors and managers with project planning, designs, permitting, and oversight.
  • Conduct field surveys to confirm property, highway, and project boundaries.
  • Assist in supervising staff and contractors on construction sites.
Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a strong background in surveying, geomatics engineering, or civil technology. You should have experience with current AutoCAD software packages and be familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and safe working practices.
