The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience as a project manager in an electrical utility or industrial environment, with a strong background in engineering and construction management. They will also possess excellent leadership skills, strong communication and collaboration abilities, and a solid understanding of industry developments and best practices.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Lead the development of large-scale projects, ensuring effective delivery of complex projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  2. Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
  3. Provide strategic guidance and oversight to project teams, ensuring that projects are delivered according to plan.
  4. Identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
  5. Maintain knowledge of industry developments and best practices, applying them to drive process improvements and innovation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in an engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a project manager in an electrical utility or industrial environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Strong leadership skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and a solid understanding of engineering and construction management principles.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Direct experience leading large-scale, complex power generation, transmission, distribution, or industrial projects.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the electrical industry or in an industrial business (mining, oil and gas, etc.) as an engineering or construction management leader.
  • Related professional designation(s) and/or certification(s).
  • Advanced ability to strategize, plan, and organize.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
