Job Title: Youth Connections Counsellor

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Counsellor to join our team at Wood's Homes. As a Counsellor, you will work with children, youth, and families to provide support and guidance in a structured setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain a structured setting to foster personal and social functioning for each client.
  • Participate in supervisory meetings, team meetings, and retreats to plan and discuss client care.
  • Provide therapeutic support and guidance to children, youth, and families, including attendance at case conferences and involvement in intervention strategies.
  • Maintain the upkeep of the living space of the program and ensure compliance with licensing department requirements.
  • Perform various tasks associated with program functioning, including meal preparation, cleaning, and transportation of clients.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma or undergraduate degree in the Social Sciences, Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Nursing, or related field.
  • Minimum two to four years of related experience.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Experience working with young people preferred.
  • Class 5 driver's license and own transportation required.
