At Wood\u0027s Homes, we are committed to building good mental health and well-being for everyone in our community. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Youth and Family Counsellor.

Role Summary

The Youth and Family Counsellor will work with children, youth, and families in a structured setting, providing high-quality services and meeting the requirements of our Health and Safety Management System. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional services and a willingness to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain a structured setting that fosters personal and social development for each client.
  • Participate in supervisory meetings, team meetings, and training sessions to ensure best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Provide therapeutic services, including case management, intervention strategies, and consultations with schools, doctors, and families.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy living environment for clients and ensure compliance with licensing requirements.
  • Perform various tasks associated with program functioning, including meal preparation, cleaning, and transportation of clients.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or undergraduate degree in Social Sciences, Child and Youth Care, Social Work, or Nursing, with a minimum of two to four years of related experience.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Experience working with young people is preferred.
  • Class 5 driver\u0027s license and own transportation are required.
