Located in the picturesque town of Sechelt, British Columbia, Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a highly skilled Perinatal Nurse Specialist to join its Labour & Delivery unit at Sechelt Hospital.
About the PositionThis rewarding role offers a unique opportunity to provide advanced perinatal nursing care to expectant clients and their families. As a key member of the interdisciplinary team, you will conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

Key Responsibilities- Provide advanced perinatal nursing care to expectant clients, including conducting comprehensive nursing assessments and developing individualized care plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to provide informed and supportive care
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Completion of a recognized advanced nursing specialty program in perinatal nursing or two years' recent, related experience
- Broad knowledge of nursing theory and practice within a client/family-centered model of care
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team
