Job Title: Dene Language Teacher

Chalo Independent School Society is seeking a qualified Dene Language Teacher to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate educator to teach Dene Language to students from Prekindergarten to Grade 12. The successful candidate will have a strong background in language instruction and a commitment to cultural preservation.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide instruction in Dene Language to students from Prekindergarten to Grade 12
  • Develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of our students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective language program
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly

Qualifications:

  • Successful classroom teaching or practicum experience
  • Knowledge of and willingness to use current best practices in education
  • Familiarity with BC's newly redesigned curriculum
  • A strong team orientation and desire to collaborate with educators
  • Excellent planning and organization skills
  • A desire to grow professionally through coaching
  • A willingness to learn and use school programs
  • A clear Criminal Record Check, vulnerable sector
