Job Title: Dene Language Teacher

Chalo Independent School Society is seeking a qualified Dene Language Teacher to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate educator to teach Dene Language to students from Prekindergarten to Grade 12. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing effective and research-based planning, instructional, and assessment practices.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Dene Language to students from Prekindergarten to Grade 12
  • Develop and implement curriculum plans that meet the needs of students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide a comprehensive education to students
Requirements
  • Successful classroom teaching or practicum experience
  • Knowledge of and willingness to use and learn current best practices in education
  • Familiarity with BC's newly redesigned curriculum
  • A strong team orientation and desire to collaborate with educators
  • Excellent planning and organization skills
  • A desire to grow professionally through coaching
  • A willingness to learn and use school programs
  • A clear Criminal Record Check, vulnerable sector
