Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Developer to join our team at Axelon Services Corporation. As a Cloud Infrastructure Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud-based infrastructure solutions using Terraform and other infrastructure as code tools.
  • Develop and deploy cloud services to meet customer expectations, working closely with Product Management and Vendors.
  • Collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams to enhance the developer experience.
  • Mentor and develop more junior programmers, including participating in constructive code reviews.
  • Set up new development projects using modern tools and practices, including git, Jenkins, test-driven development, and continuous integration in a Linux-based environment.

Requirements:

  • Sound experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Experience in any of the following cloud service providers - Azure / AWS (Preference is Azure).
  • Experience in Kubernetes and Container-based technologies.
  • Strong development skills in Python, Java or Golang.
  • Sound experience in a scripting language such as Shell Scripting.
  • Experience of leading development in projects in a distributed enterprise environment.
  • Experience of setting up a new development project using modern tools and practices.
  • Sound knowledge of infrastructure and cloud computing.
  • Ability to mentor and develop more junior programmers.
  • Collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams to enhance the developer experience.

Desired:

  • 3+ years experience of working in Azure and/or AWS.
  • Working with teams using scrum, kanban or other agile practices.
  • Proficiency with standard Linux command line and debugging tools.
  • Experience of working with RESTful APIs, especially to manage and configure compute and storage infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of how to write comprehensive unit tests, including the mocking of external utilities and APIs.
